Halloween Treats That Won't Scare Your Diet

With Halloween being the first holiday to kick off the season, it's always nice to start things off feeling content with your food choices (while also acknowledging the cravings for a sweet treat).

Although this holiday is known for being all about candy, chocolate, and other sweets, there are a few ways around the high calories, sugar, and feeling of being sick to your stomach.

Treats That Won't Cause Cavities

  • Green Apple Monsters

  1. Cut your apple into fourths and then cut out a sliver in the middle to make a mouth.

  2. Add peanut butter to the new opening.

  3. Add two dots of peanut butter to make eyes. Place yogurt-covered raisins on top.

  4. You can make teeth out of water you have in the house -- nuts, raisins, or anything around that size.

  • Mummy Pizzas

  1. Make the dough out of ground chicken, spinach, egg, and spices with a food processor.

  2. Add pizza sauce on top of the dough.

  3. Add slices of mozzarella in a criss-cross pattern to the pizza.

  4. Add olives for eyes after the pizzas are baked in the oven.

  • Monster Popcorn

  1. Pop the popcorn in the microwave.

  2. Let cool while you gather the toppings you want.

  3. Grab sprinkles, small chocolates, pretzels, and yogurt-covered raisins.

  4. Add all the toppings to the popcorn once it's stopped steaming and enjoy!
